Apart from the aforementioned business units, MGC has expanded its business to cover an integrated range of automotive-related businesses. MGC has been appointed as the sole distributor of AC Schnitzer and TechArt premium-class tuning accessories for BMW and Porsche respectively. Another major business unit of the MGC portfolio is its car rental business, under the guise of Master Car Rental (MCR) which handles both long-term and short-term customers, and is a Master Licensee for Sixt rent a car (a global car rental company based in Germany) which gives MCR responsibility over seven Southeast Asian markets, including Thailand.
Another venture of MGC is Master Motor Services (MMS), which operates a complete car maintenance service center under the MMS-Bosch Car Service brand. The business focus of MMS caters to vehicles with expired warranties. And then there is Maxi Insurance Broker, a leading insurance consultant which provides professional insurance services covering a variety of products such as Property Insurance, Liability Insurance, Motor Insurance, Accidental and Health Protection.
The vision of MGC Group is based on the underlying principle of eventually becoming one of Southeast Asia’s leading automotive retailers with sustainable growth and unparalleled success. Hence, the company has always had a strategic focus on people development and business process alignment. MGC recently established the Master Automotive Training (MAT) facility, a state-of-the-art training center equipped with the technology and personnel to meet every pre-requisite of automotive retailing education.
A mini-MBA program has been developed in a joint effort with the Assumption University. This unique graduate program was designed to enhance human resources’ capability, both for MGC and Thailand’s automotive industry. The mini-MBA program will be opened to the public in 2014.
