Bosch Power Tools (China) Co., Ltd (“PTCN”) was established in 1995. It is a wholly foreign owned company with investment of more than 100 million USD under the Bosch Group. With a site area of 140,000 square meters, the company hosts 3 plants, China Sales & Marketing Center, Asia Pacific R&D Center, Asia Pacific Logistic Center, Asia Pacific Product Training Center, and Global Purchasing and Quality Offices. In China, we produce rotary hammer, impact drill, jigsaw, demolition hammer, grinder, planner and sander, serving the concrete, woodworking and metal working industries.
Since investment expansion in 2003, PTCN has been on a high-speed development track and it’s now the biggest and most important manufacturing and engineering center of Bosch Power Tools globally. Meanwhile, core business and technical capacities were also successfully built. Supported by the global-wide strong business system of Bosch, PTCN realized the transition from a small-sized manufacturing plant into a large-scale manufacturing and engineering center, and headquarter of Asia Pacific region; from transfer of mature production lines from overseas’ plants, to the establishment of new ones, with an international designing and whole-set manufacturing competence; from supporting new products anaphase development for R&D centers in foreign countries, to the R&D and pilot-production independence in China. And the number of employees also grows from 500 to more than 4000.
PTCN consistently adheres to the strategy of long-term investment and development in China, while localization is an important part of it. Systematical trainings are provided to local employees to improve their functional and management competences. To develop local talents, Bosch globally standardized Associate Development Program, Bosch Trainee Program and three different paths for career development providing leadership, project, and expert.
