We troubleshoot, assess and manage project feasibility, design and delivery on behalf of our Clients. Developing creative, novel responses to projects is the key to practice ethos, challenging conventional approaches to problem solving. The company was established in 1996 by Barry Wilson, first in Hong Kong and subsequently in Shanghai in 2001 and Shenzhen in 2009. The urbanisation studio focuses on the problems related to city expansion, utilising sustainable design solutions for large scale public sector infrastructure projects; particularly those related to urban and transport planning; landfill and land reclamation; and drainage, and water utilisation. The lifestyle studio concentrates on building development with a focus on real estate and construction management issues through architecture and interior architecture projects. High and low tech solutions related to energy use, greening, functionality and maintenance define the key values. At the core of the design process is the employment of statistical market research to create a robust design methodology, integrated with public stakeholder “charrettes� to encourage community involvement and foster socially responsive design. The practice forms strategic relationships with international experts in specialist fields in order to bring the highest knowledge base to each specific project on a case by case basis, whilst the design director maintains close working relationships with various universities globally including: University of Hong Kong; Peking University; Shenzhen University; Lund University Sweden; and Pennsylvania State University.
Able to design creatively, develop efficient working methods and solve problems independently; Able to utilize standard industry software but quickly learn new presentation skills; Proficiency with English is preferred. Attitude and aspiration may be valued more than qualifications and experience.
