Key responsibilities

Ø Teaching English as a Second Language to students in different levels

Ø Teaching the full range of classes and courses with the exception of Private Classes at the two lowest levels; IB & TH.

Ø Conducting demonstration classes for prospective students. This may be on or off site

Ø Planning and preparing lessons with due diligence as well as teaching classes correctly as scheduled, using the materials provided

Ø Creating materials for and delivering Social Club lessons as scheduled

Ø Adhering to a forty-hour working week, including twenty-five classroom hours

Ø Supervising tests, exams, end-of-level assignments and conducting individual level assessments as and when requested

Ø Conducting administrative tasks including level placements when necessary, providing appropriate written comments in student manuals and recording student attendance.

Ø Participating in the school’s social program as part of the teacher’s scheduled working hours.

Ø Participating in promotional and marketing activities organized by the school as and when required as part of the teacher’s scheduled working hours

Ø Participating in teacher training programs and workshops organized by the school as and when required as part of the teacher’s scheduled working hours

Requirements to teach in China

If you prefer to teaching English in China, your skills and qualifications should include:

Ø Bachelor’s degree or above in any field

Ø Under 53 years of age (Below the legal retirement age in all cities)

Ø fluent in English

Ø Loving teaching

Ø Good health (Health examination required for visa)

Ø No criminal record (Criminal Records Check required for visa)

Ø 2 years full-time teaching experience or TEFL or TESOL certificate or English or Education major for bachelors degree or above
