In September 2008, Sondrel established its first design service centre in Xi′an and later a second office in Shanghai, and is now recruiting to expand these teams. During November 2010 Sondrel′s CEO accompanied the British Prime Minister on his visit to China, and joined the Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao at a State Banquet. Sondrel was selected as a member of the British Prime Minister′s business delegation because it is recognised by the British Government as being one of the most exciting and innovative UK companies operating in China, and is a holder of the UK′s most prestigious business award. Sondrel has now announced a major growth strategy for it′s Chinese operation and is hiring talented engineers to join its Shanghai and Xi′an design centres.
