What typical tasks and activities does your current role involve?

To handle Malaysia T3 magazine layout, design and to come up with a theme of photo shoot every month. I have to lay out the magazine, combining the text and images. To think a theme of photo shoot, recce place, shop for fashion, book model and make-up artist, deal with the photographer and be the art director for the entire shoot.

What skills, knowledge and experience contributed to you getting this job?

I studied major Graphic Design, finished my degree. I had two years experience in the design field. A sense of art and design and computer skills.

What key advice would you give to current Malaysian students who would like to get similar work to yours?

Always practise and improve your computer software skills and sense of art and design. Be brave to try new stuff, share your art work and accept other people′s opinions, even if it is good or bad and make your own decision which you think is the best. To be prepared so you don′t miss a chance.

Do you have any other useful advice for other current students and graduates?

You have to be motivated and always eager to want more.
