Chirag Jobanputra received his MBA from UWE and is the co-founder of 39shops.com in Bristol. Below he talks about his career and how he accomplished his goals, and gives you advice on how to be successful in your future.
What do you do?
Conceptualising ideas and bringing them to life. I am not only responsible for its creation, but also the implementation, marketing strategy, business plan, brand positioning and digital media strategy.
Why do you think you got this job?
Previously, I worked as VP of marketing and business development for a software company. Having over seven years of experience in internet and software industry, the stage was set to start my own enterprise. Undertaking the MBA degree from Bristol Business School supported in a big way.
What key advice would you give to current students from India who would like to get into a similar job to you?
During the MBA program, I had participated in many entrepreneurial activities, for instance I was one of the co-founder of UWE′s enterprise club
What other advice would you give to others graduates?
UWE provides strong support system for budding entrepreneur. If you are looking for a job, keep yourself open to any opportunity.
