We are currently seeking an Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Finance, the successful candidate will support the team on internal strategy initiatives, financial modeling, strategy, valuation and M&A due diligence. Our team takes great pride in providing actionable recommendations in a timely manner as markets and competitive dynamics evolve.

What you will do

  • Maintain and develop internal financial models to provide summaries, forecasts and analyses to senior management
  • Contribute to the preparation of materials, including but not limited to monthly, and quarterly reports
  • Participate in corporate finance initiatives, such as preparation of recurring monthly and quarterly analyses, financial modelling efforts and ad-hoc requests
  • Participate in M&A deal execution, conducting financial due diligence, valuation analyses, and building deal materials for presentation to key internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with functional groups across the organization to gather information and internal insights on prospective acquisition targets
  • Assist with analysis and preparation of KPIs for management reporting
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects, documentation, presentations and initiatives as assigned

What you will bring

  • Undergraduate degree in business/finance/accounting
  • Minimum 1-2 years relevant work experience in corporate finance, the wealth management or asset management industry
  • Fluent in finance and accounting concepts and financial modelling, with an understanding of economic factors affecting valuation
  • Strong knowledge of corporate finance and capital markets
  • Ability to create, update, and manage financial models and value companies independently and communicate findings clearly and concisely
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic, ability to learn and work independently as well as part of a team
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with other Microsoft Office products. Experience with Excel Macros and VBA coding an asset
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg terminal and functions an asset
