This position is within the Hydroelectricity and Dams market sector of the Energy group . This market sector specializes in hydroelectric and dam projects (development, rehabilitation) as well as dam safety. We work in collaboration with public and private sector clients on innovative projects allowing our team members to demonstrate their expertise and train a passionate next generation. 

To meet these growth challenges, WSP is currently looking  for a candidate in the civil engineering profession (structural specialization an asset) to join our national structure team, located in our Quebec office for a start in January 2025 or May 2025

What you can expect to do with us:

  • Participate in feasibility studies and detailed engineering of new structures or the rehabilitation of existing structures (dams, spillways, spillways, hydroelectric power plants);
  • Design of reinforced concrete and steel structure;
  • Participate in inspections and site visits; 
  • Participate in the preparation of plans and specifications;
  • Prepare reports and calculation notes;
  • Carry out dam safety studies.

What you will bring to WSP:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or any other training deemed equivalent;
  • Member in good standing of the Order of Engineers of Quebec;
  • Sense of initiative, proactivity, resourcefulness, autonomy and attention to detail;
  • Ability to work in a team;
  • Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing.
