Given the current growth within our Geospatial and Digital Solutions team, and the growing number of mandates in Quebec, Canada and internationally, we are looking for a geomatics technician who is passionate about geomatics to support us in this great adventure. Our team will be delighted to welcome people entering the job market as well as people with more experience.

Quebec, Montreal, Trois-Rivières, Baie-Comeau 

What you can expect to do with us: 

  • Participate in the collection and organization of customer data; 
  • Integrate and structure geospatial data (manually or automatically with tools like FME); 
  • Perform geoprocessing and spatial analyses according to project needs;  
  • Create or update geographic information systems (GIS);  
  • Participate in the compilation and validation of data collected by field teams and process this data for the production of maps and reports;  
  • Produce cartographic products, figures, plans as part of environmental studies and projects;  
  • Collaborate on the design and putting online of cartographic layers (web services) for interactive maps (AGOL, Portal); 
  • Create web maps and portals with ArcGIS products (Enterprise and Online);  
  • Use drawing/mapping/GIS software adapted to different types of deliverables 
  • Attend project meetings to fully understand the requested deliverables; 

We would like to know more about you if you have: 

  • DEC in geomatics, cartography, surveying, geodesy or any other training deemed equivalent; 
  • Experience with ArcGIS desktop (ArcGIS Pro and/or ArcMap from ESRI); 
  • Experience in web mapping (ArcGIS Online and Enterprise); 
  • Relevant experience in the production of cartographic products;  
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Illustrator, Global Mapper, QGIS/PostGIS, FME considered an asset; 
  • Experience in consulting engineering and knowledge of Hydro-Québec and MTMD geomatics standards considered an asset; 
  • Great autonomy, initiative and concern for delivering validated and quality products; 
  • English/French bilingualism, an asset.
