Rainy River Mine
Situated in beautiful northwestern Ontario, 65 km northwest of Fort Frances, the Rainy River Mine is an open pit, gold and silver producing, residential mine site.
The Rainy River Mine, located adjacent to the Ontario / Minnesota border is 65 Kilometers northwest of Fort Frances, Ontario and is situated half way between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Thunder Bay, Ontario The area is home to more than 130 species of birds and large populations of moose, black bear and deer. Position Overview:
New Gold currently has a need for an engineer in training (EIT) at its Rainy River Minesite. New Gold is committed to developing its people through the implementation of an EIT rotational program which provides EIT's exposure to a variety of technical disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
EITs rotate through 3 team positions which provide technical services to the mine operations:
EIT rotations could be anywhere from 8-16 months but aim to be long enough that a good grasp of knowledge and experience in the role is obtained.
EITs may be asked to take on projects and/or assist other EITs or provide coverage during holidays.
