WSP has a new opportunity for a Proposal Coordinator to join our Property & Buildings Proposal Team on a full-time basis based in Vancouver, BC. Reporting to the Proposal Team Lead for Western Canada, the successful candidate will assist the department’s senior managers in ensuring that proposals are delivered to a high standard and timely manner.

 A day in the life…

  • Develop a proposal outline document for all proposals.
  • Schedule and facilitate contributions from all parties involved.
  • Ensure compliance with RFP requirements.
  • Draft standard proposal sections.
  • Facilitate reviews and perform quality control on the final document.
  • Manage all aspects of proposal creation, ensuring required timelines are met.
  • Participate in proposal strategy and review meetings.
  • Coordinate information from various disciplines to ensure a uniform and coherent submission.
  • Write various proposal sections, including executive summaries, project descriptions, and CVs, as required.
  • Compile, modify, and draft standard proposal components according to requirements.
  • Adapt existing CVs, project descriptions, and boilerplate information.
  • Plan and coordinate proposal-related tasks from the initial kick-off meeting through proposal delivery and post-submission follow-up.
  • Compile internal information such as history with the client for proposal decisions and strategy.
  • Perform and delegate proposal tasks within your assigned pursuit team, ensuring proposal schedules are met and adhered to.
  • Review final proposals for quality assurance and quality control.
  • Participate in internal and external proposal debriefings and other proposal closing activities.
  • Communicate effectively with proposal teams, colleagues, and other stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience;
  • A self-motivated team member, who is flexible, demonstrates initiative to go above and beyond the task at hand, effectively multitasks and who is capable of handling shifting priorities within a demanding deadline-oriented environment.
  • Possess strong computer skills: Proficiency in MS Office; Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign and Photoshop is desirable.
  • Strong English language and writing skills – including attention to detail and ability to proofread and edit material, as well as an aptitude for understanding technical terminology.
  • Flexibility to work overtime to meet project deadlines as required.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, working towards common goals and objectives.
  • Experience in Engineering Consulting or Professional Services firms, with an emphasis on proposal writing is ideal
  • Experience working on federal government and public works proposals is desirable;
  • Comfortable working and interacting at all levels in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Experience using MS Co-Pilot would be considered an asset, the ideal candidate should be open to leveraging AI technologies to enhance efficiency, innovation, and effectiveness in their work.

Salary range (in British Columbia): $64,300 to $88,400

The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. The salary range provided in this job posting may be subject to change for business purposes.
