About Actuarial
The actuarial function is a core component of any insurance operation. The Deloitte actuarial team provides specialized audit and assurance to many leading insurance companies and organizations and is well recognized in the industry. Our professional specialists engaged in a wide range of compliance reporting services, including actuarial audit support, embedded value review, capital management, IFRS 17 implementation, actuarial modelling, due diligence and other relevant actuarial projects aiming at providing one-stop actuarial solution to the clients.
Work you'll do:
Actuarial:
- Supporting the team to efficiently deliver high quality projects on various opportunities including but not limited to:
- Actuarial audit support
- Embedded value evaluation and review
- International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) 17 implementation
- Capital Management
- Actuarial model development and review
- Actuarial due diligence
- Providing assistance on preparation of bidding and marketing materials
- Providing assistance on internal research, marketing and product development
You are also expected to:

During your tenure as an analyst in Audit & Assurance actuarial team, you will demonstrate and develop your leadership and professional capabilities in the following areas: Building diverse capability, Collaborating, Creating purpose, Delivering value, Driving agility, Influencing, Inspiring, Building the Business, Analytical Acumen, Effective Communication, Delivery Excellence, Managing Change, Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving and Tech Savviness.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree or above with strong academic credential in any discipline from actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, computer science, finance, economics, physics and chemistry:
- 0-2 years of experience in insurance field
- Strong background in actuarial science, statistics and data analytics
- Committed to obtaining fellowship qualification of an internationally recognized actuarial organization, e.g. SOA.
- Good progress in actuarial examination would be advantageous
- Ability to learn, apply, and communicate actuarial concepts and ideas
- Attention to details, strong analytical and good organizational skills
- Proficient in MS office Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication in verbal and written English and ideally in Mandarin Chinese
- Excellent interpersonal and team playing skills
