Job Description & Qualifications
UBB was founded in 1992. through the merger of 22 Bulgarian regional commercial banks, which is the first and largest consolidation project in the Bulgarian banking sector, and since 2017 The bank is now part of the Belgian banking and insurance group KVS, which is currently the largest financial group in Bulgaria.

For the small but extremely close-knit team of our Corporate Secretary, we are looking for a young and ambitious professional who will have the opportunity to face the following:
Main challenges:
- Participates in all tasks in the field of corporate management of the bank, related to the legal and administrative service of the management and control bodies of the bank - Management Board, Supervisory Board, General Meeting of Shareholders.
- Provides technical assistance to the bank's corporate secretary in preparing the agenda for the meetings of the bank's management and control bodies.
- Drafts the minutes of the meetings of the management and control bodies of the bank, in which all the decisions taken are reflected.
- Maintains the archive with the materials of the held meetings.
- Monitors the implementation of the tasks set by the Management Board of certain units in the bank.
- Assists the corporate secretary in maintaining records of all management mandates held by UBB employees in other companies, as well as a record of potential conflicts of interest declared by bank administrators.
- Assists the corporate secretary in the preparation of the meetings and protocols with the decisions of the General Meeting of Shareholders.
- Assists the activities of the corporate secretary in submitting various applications to the Commercial Register.
The ideal candidate has:
- Higher legal education;
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office – Word, Excel & PowerPoint);
- Good knowledge of the legal acts in the field of company law and banking (Commercial Law, Law on the Commercial Register, Law on Credit Institutions, related by-laws and instructions of the relevant regulatory institutions);
- Excellent organizational skills and precision when working with official documents;
- Communication and teamwork skills;
- Accountability, confidentiality and analytical thinking;
- Excellent command of the English language (written and spoken).
The position is suitable for candidates who are recent law graduates with little or no experience who wish to develop in the banking industry.
