Job Description & Qualifications

DXC Technology in Prague is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing analyses, reviewing, validating, and reconciling various financial records, reports, and statements. You will conduct complex financial analyses to summarize the company’s current and projected financial position, and prepare and review financial reports, including account reconciliations. Additionally, you will plan, conduct, and participate in the analysis of complex cost assignments, ensuring that all projects comply with established cost accounting standards.

In this role you will:

• Prepare and post journal entries for company accounts, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
• Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts to the general ledger; research discrepancies and determine the appropriate course of action.
• Develop spreadsheets for account analysis and journal entries to maintain organized and standardized records.
• Participate in special projects such as accounting software updates and provide expertise as needed.
• Educate internal clients on accounting principles and procedures when necessary.
• Conduct studies and submit recommendations to management for improving the organization’s accounting operations.
• Assist in the installation, modification, documentation, and coordination of the implementation of accounting systems and control procedures.
• Provide work guidance and support for less experienced personnel.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of three years of accounting or finance experience.
• Strong knowledge and experience with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and accounting software.
