Job Description
- Oversee and manage the execution of ocean operations, including the operation of owned, chartered, and VSA vessels for cargo/container transportation.
- Provide administrative support by handling skilled technical, operational, or administrative tasks to assist broader operational functions.
- Roles range from entry-level positions requiring supervision to experienced individual contributors with specialized technical or practical expertise.
- Senior professionals within this career stream work independently, adhering to established standards while making informed deviations to resolve issues.
- Handle tasks of limited complexity and scope, exercising independent judgment within defined guidelines and under supervision.
- Develop skills through job-related training and hands-on experience within a specialized job function.
- Possess knowledge of standard work routines, general operational processes, and factual information, with the ability to escalate complex issues to senior colleagues or supervisors.
- Coordinate and manage all shipment processes, including booking, documentation, customs clearance, and invoice generation.
- Prepare and process essential shipping and customs documents such as bills of lading, commercial invoices, and export/import paperwork.
- Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery, customer invoicing, and supplier payment processing.
- Demonstrate strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Apply problem-solving skills to address unexpected shipment issues or delays efficiently.
