Job Purpose
The FP&A analysts in the CoE provides support to Group PPM leads and Finance senior management. The activities are focused on
- Consolidation, reporting and analysis of P&L on a total company level (interaction with all Bus)
- Supporting Group PPM and country FP&A leads in monthly and weekly forecasting
- Participation in the annual budgeting process
- Volume reporting & forecasting
- Reconciliation of financials and volume across systems
- Volume-Rate-Mix analysis
- Preparation of Investor Relations and Board of Directors materials
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare reports (as outlined above) in Excel and reporting tools for review by managers
- Amend existing reports and create new reports through manipulation of data in Excel and other systems like BPC, SAP, PA3, PBI, Margin Minder
- Support Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Closing process
- Provide ad hoc reporting & analysis support to the business
- Provide data and analytical input to support business forecasting and planning initiatives
- Present information in a coherent and logical way using Excel and PowerPoint
- Analyze data through reports and provide initial commentary on performance, if requested
- Perform detailed reconciliations between systems, make a deep dive into significant differences, contact other teams and take responsibility of the process until variances are resolved, so that financial reporting is accurate
- Ensure in-house knowledge of processes and activities is captured in accurate and detailed procedures, which are always up to date, thus business continuity is guaranteed in any moment
- Initiate and participate in continuous improvement projects: strive to increase own efficiency by optimizing and automating own activities continuously and proactively support cross-sectional optimization projects
Experience required
- Essential experience using Microsoft Office (Excel)
- Understanding of SAP BO and BW strongly recommended
Education & Qualifications required
- Degree level education in Business Studies or Finance
- CIMA / ACA / ACCA Qualified (Ideal, not essential)
- Capability required & Expert level
