Job Description & Qualifications

VP Unique tasks to be conducted by WERS Specialist beyond WERS standard PPM/ECC tasks

  • VP WERS Specialist acts as a SPOC for all VP related WERS issues / questions
  • VP WERS Specialist acts as a gatekeeper for VP activities (HM02, HM04, HM25, MJ00, FIAT, HMFP, HMPP) and monitors / distributes WERS tasks (Notices & Concerns) to the dedicated WERS Analyst, PMT-Leader, D&R Engineer or OPD Coordinator. Furthermore he is adding the Notice Approval Screen with correct approvers and WACTS screen before he will forward the notice as described before.
  • VP WERS Specialist is the main contact to D&R’s for any upcoming WERS release issue acting as a WERS advisor to the entire VP D&R team. This includes to provide help via Phone/Webex/E-mail in order to solve WERS issues within VP team.
  • VP WERS PPM Specialist verifies: 
    • Service as Released (SAR) – Is this part required to be ordered individually for service or not?
    • If a drawing is required, or a “shown on” information is required on which the drawing is shown?
    • Is the list of parts aligned to the current approved PDL and relevant TIBs? 
    • Hence all affected PDL’s and TIB’s need to be monitored/reviewed by the WERS Analyst.
  • Effective Codes to be verified by the WERS Analyst: Do the effective points accurately reflect the timing of when the part is required? 
    • AP2: The part is required to support the TPV build                                                                      
    • AP3: The part is required to support the DCV build                                                                 
    • S4P: Production parts are required to support launch starting with TT builds. Also to be used for aftermarket and service unique parts
    • D-Date: for running changes only
  • If the engineering direction within concern is correct (e. g. PFC, MFC) and feedback to D&R’s if further input/correction is required
  • Obtain info from D&R’s and PMT-leader for correct procurement coding (Plant Code & Make Decision e.g. BF, RA, A)
  • VP WERS Specialist verifies if the part screen and the component structure is complete for the part or KIT. Compare and verify if the Teamcenter structure matches with WERS Concern input.
  • If the GSDB Code (Supplier Code) is correctly populated for a NTEI, if required x-check with D&R and/or PMT leader
  • VP WERS Specialist to raise blanket concerns for SAR and Drawing Corrections and release parts in question per notice supplement
  • VP WERS Specialist to release Special Aftermarket Kits for FCSD service purposes per commodity and vehicle line on D&R request. 
  • This includes all required ECC and Releasing actions: 
    • WACTS screen setup
    • Approval Screen setup with appropriate approvers
    • Colour Releasing
    • Procurement Releasing
  • VP WERS Specialist to conduct WERS Trainings for new D&R’s within VP covering all required WERS tasks for this purpose
  • VP WERS Specialist is the SPOC responsible for Notice Releasing, Procurement Releasing 
  • (C -> R) and Colour Releasing (BIW parts)
  • VP WERS Specialist to raise concerns & release notices for Supplier Branded Accessories (SBA):
    • SBA Team verbally advises WERS Specialist on required tasks
    • VP WERS Specialist is responsible to handle the complete WERS task
  • New base part number request if requested part has not been released in WERS
  • Raising concern
  • Engineering Direction Input (MFC, PFC, Effective In/Out, Effective Markets)
  • Release notice
  • Procurement Releasing
  • Inform affected parties about the final release
  • Ensure that FINIS codes will be allocated 
  • Overall WERS Coordination and User Administration for FCSD (for new WERS Accounts & Passwords)
  • Module leader for all HM** activities, including creation of new activities
  • SPOC for DB2 related issues within WERS

Qualifications

  • College degree - bachelors, Preferred Degree: Graduate or Equivalent Technical
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office 
  • Understanding of Engneering release process
  • Self-starter, motivated
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Good communication skills
