Sony Summer Internship Program 2014

To those who have the drive and determination to touch the world with wonder, how about a summer internship overseas in Japan?

This program is designed for university students outside Japan. If you are talented then don′t hesitate, just check it out!

For students from China Mainland and Taiwan: 

1. Please read the positions description carefully and choose only one to apply for. The positions have been separated for students from China Mainland and Taiwan according to the position requirement, please don′t mix up. 

2. After you click the apply button, you will be requested to create an account first, then a mail contains the login page will be sent to you. You can then edit your application sheet and make final application.  

3. It is not allowed to change your position selection nor the contents of your application sheet after final submission. Please do a thorough review before submission. (You can make changes of your application information by login to Mypage any time before final submission)

Guidelines for SSIP (Sony Summer Internship Program) applicants

1. Employer: Sony Corporation (1-7-1 Konan, Minato-ku, Tokyo, 108-0075 Japan) 

2. Duration: Generally during the Two Months of Summer Holiday decided in the intern’s home country. But it might varies from 2 to 6 months according to the requirement of the position or the needs of the interns.

3. Assignment: (See Intern position information on the site.) All the assignment will be under the Confidentiality Agreement.

4. Compensation

- Monthly allowance 120,000 Japanese Yen (after tax)

- Round-Trip flight tickets between Japan and your home country 

- Housing (single-bed hotel room or dormitory will be provided)

- Commuting Expense

- Overseas Travel Insurance will be provided

- Mobile phone will be provided during the internship in Japan

5. Working hours - Approximate 40 Hours Per Week, Mon-Fri, no overtime work

6. Others

- Visa application will be assisted by Sony and the expenses will be borne by Sony.

- Internship certification can be issued by Sony if requested
