Trainee Accounts/ Business Manager

We are currently recruiting for a  Trainee Accounts/ Business Manager on a full time basis located at our offices in Ghana. Training and development to take over accountable for supervision, organising and co-ordinating all Accountancy and/or Business Services functions within the WG Ghana business
Detailed Description
 
The successful candidate will be responsible for the completion of monthly payroll activities and the completion, filing and payment of all monthly taxes. Additionally they will be working with tax advisors for completion & filing of annual returns and working with clients to collect & file all WHT certificates and reconciling the client WHT BS account. They will issue all vendor WHT certificates. They will be responsible for the reconciliation of vendor WHT Balance sheet, registration of all intercompany documentation and renewal of annual Ghana licenses. They will work closely with operational and business managers supporting with budgets and reports and be accountable for all Ghanaian treasury responsibilities, petty cash, and banking.
 
Developmental Areas
 
Develop capability to undertake with supervision Management, Provision and Coordination of all business services activities including commercial, planning, cost control, estimating, supply chain DCC, accounts and finance.          
 
Develop capability to support business risk management process and ownership of the risk register within the WG Ghana business                                                             
 
In conjunction with Regional Accounts team take on responsibility for the provision of business and project cost reports.                                                                                                               
 
With support of the Regional procurement support team develop capability to assume responsibility for the provision of procurement, materials and sub contract activities and the project P&M function
 
Responsible for the provision of project financial analysis and accounts and A&F function
 
Performs post contract work award admin including; ensuring that the contract is set up correctly in the appropriate business controls in time writing, reporting, progress tracking, invoicing and accounts settlements.
 
Develops skills in conjunction with Line manager to implement and manage new commercial models, as required including incentive schemes and KPIs.
 
Monitors and reports on compliance with WGPSN corporate processes and procedures and recommends any regional changes required.                                          
 
Supports contractual compliance and day to day management / administration of contract and contract KPI’s
 
 
 
Job Requirements
 
Minimum Qualifications:
Skills typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in accountancy with suitable industry experience and post graduate development in Business Management
 
Minimum Experience:
In addition to an undergraduate degree, the individual should have a minimum 2 years in full time  work experience ina relevant industry and can demonstrate exposure to responsibility for preparation of accounts  and preferably to contracting concepts, principles and commercial risk management.
 
Job-Specific Skills:
Excellent understanding of business accounts preparation and management principles and techniques.
Must be familiar with manual and computerised business accounts applications and processes
Knowledge, understanding and preferably some exposure to the other business services disciplines.
Knowledge and experience of Commercial administration processes and procedures.
Demonstrable Competency in all Microsoft applications software.
