Trainee for the Planning & Controlling of Mercedes-Benz

Established in December 2012, Beijing Mercedes-Benz Sales Service Co., Ltd. (BMBS) is a joint venture between DGRC and BAIC Motor, which combines the functions of sales & marketing, after-sales, expansion of dealer network, used-car and fleet-car sales, as well as dealer and workshop training, covering both imported and locally-produced Mercedes-Benz cars in China. With the establishment of BMBS, Daimler has reached a crucial milestone in China and set a new course for long-term development and sustainable growth.

Roles and Responsibilities:  

Your task is to perform and support the controlling and reporting of BMBS:

• The focus lies on the monthly preparing of all relevant controlling and reporting figures, plausibility checks and preparation of reconciliation both on the target and the current reporting
• Thereby you have to make sure that for the different participation corporations uniform controlling and reporting methods are applied which has to be compiled stringently and consistently with F&C standards
• Further tasks are to back the planning process (e.g. monthly forecasts, current expectations, operative planning) as well as to facilitate various interfaces to the BMBS Finance & Controlling areas Accounting, Treasury, Tax and Procurement
• Steer actively information bundling and preprocessing when ad-hoc requests from the Finance & Controlling department come up
• Prepare the financial presentation/ documentation for the Board of Directors (BoD) meetings
• Calculate and evaluate inflation and inflation premises during the yearly planning at BMBS
• Coordinate and track measures of the RMB invoicing project
• Steer the project of introducing a new G&A/Marketing reporting by evaluating existing reports and define a comprehensive new reporting structure. In this context and the subsequent operative planning (OP), complete several independent work packages. Topical areas include validation of the inflation calculation, coordination of an RMB invoicing project as well as definition of a reporting structure for G&A/Marketing in a complex organizational environment

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in business, economics or similar majors.
• Maximum 4 years working experience. (For candidate with bachelor’s degree as highest academic degree, minimum 18 months working experience are essential)
• Experienced in controlling or financing in automotive industry.
• Intercultural competence.(Minimum 4 months overseas experience in required) International experience in Europe esp. Germany will be preferred.
• Skills in MS Office / Windows and related applications.  
• Proficient English and basic German skills.
