The Role: New Energy Finance - Data Researcher

Our dedicated global network of analysts are continuously monitoring policy developments, technology changes, company strategies,financial activity and other economic drivers allowing instantaneous transparency into the current and future transformation of the energy sector; specifically as it pertains to the development of renewable energy, natural gas, smart grid and carbon markets.
They are seeking talented, highly-motivated individuals to join their global renewable energy research team in New Delhi, India. The role of the Researcher is to create value added research data on investment and financial activity in the renewable energy and conventional power industry. The main responsibilities will be to update, maintain and process project information using our internal Desktop Knowledge Management System, the Bloomberg Professional Service as well as other external data sources and research tools on the Internet. The role would require you to contribute towards on-going consulting projects, participate in time-sensitive internal projects and take collaborative initiatives with colleagues globally. Additionally, you will be expected to deliver a high level of customer service to external and internal Bloomberg customers. Therefore the ideal candidate for this entry level position will have outstanding written and verbal communication skills as well as a passion for the financial and clean energy markets.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
*Master′s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Finance, or Engineering OR CFA (at least level 1 cleared) is preferred
*Knowledge of the Indian energy industry landscape (various actors like power producers, government agencies, financers) and a keen interest in the drivers for clean energy solutions and financial markets
*Strong Academic record at undergraduate or postgraduate level
*Ability to cut through noise within large quantities of data, and to extract and analyse key patterns
*A good eye for detail, experience of data research desirable
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and deliver with regard to fast deadlines
*Proficiency in any Asian language is preferred but not mandatory
