Amman, Feb. 22 (Petra) -- The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Regional Office for Near East and North Africa is trying to attract a large number of professionals and talented people to work in its various departments in the region, as part of its efforts to achieve the sustainable development goals.
According to a statement issued by the UN agency, the office is looking for specialists in rural and agricultural development, animal production, food security, fishery, food industries, and climate change, in addition to related professions such as economic and statistical analysis, social and agricultural research, investment, marketing, technology and communication, and social protection.
"FAO continuously seeks to attract talents and cadres capable of contributing to the achievement of the sustainable development goals on which the organization focuses as part of its vision of a more equitable world experiencing further prosperity and sustainability," said Nabil Gangi, adviser to the Regional Representative, Near East and North Africa.
"This is also in line with FAO's efforts to ensure a better management of the world's food system based on the organization's global criteria.", he said, adding that, FAO presents this opportunity to all professionals in all member countries in the Near East and North Africa Region".
The organization provides the appropriate environment for innovation and constructive initiatives to develop business and projects while creating the opportunity for career development and promotion based on the UN criteria.
The jobs are available in Cairo-Egypt, Rome-Italy, Accra-Ghana, Harare-Zimbabwe, Bangkok-Thailand, and Ankara-Turkey.
