India to see blazing job prospects globally: CFO Survey
The CFO Research and American Express in partnership, have conducted a survey which indicates expansion of job opportunities in India in future. The current time is fruitful for existing businesses and is likely to result in the most limpid job prospects thereby raising employment in India on a global level, says an ET report.
Although India tops the list of countries which expect increased employment, the survey points to the shortage of skilled positions, said Saru Kaushal American Express Country Business Head, Global Corporate Payments. India will soon be well rounded and cement any gap areas in employment owing to the efforts being put towards the same by Modi government, he added, as mentioned in the report.
61 per cent of respondents in US and 50% of those in China are in agreement with the said prospects while 22 per cent of respondents from India pointed to shortage in skilled positions, said the report.
As per a poll, 29% of the companies believe their headcounts have increased at a faster clip than their revenues while 48 per cent of the companies found the two increasing at the same pace, said the report.
Expectations for rising employment come from 37% of executives in Asia and Australia region while 23% seem to have diminished hopes for the same. 29% respondents in Japan are filled with hope while 39 per cent of respondents from Australia and 31 per cent from Hong Kong expect a decline in jobs, said the survey as mentioned in the report.
